China demanded an explanation from the United States in connection with allegations that the U.S. National Security Agency led espionage against the Chinese telecommunications company Huawei.
The New York Times reported that the NSA was able to hack the company's servers at its headquarters in Shenzhen.
According to the newspaper, the operation was conducted in connection with the NSA suspicions that the Chinese Army (PLA) is using the company's cyber espionage against the United States.
These reports are based on newspaper documents published by former NSA contract soldier Edward Snowden. Huawei has previously stated that it condemns any activity that jeopardizes the security of its computer networks.
