China: 27 dead and 109 wounded in attacks

Twenty-seven people were killed and 109 injured in attacks by "armed with knives men" Saturday night at the station of Kunming (southwest China), announced the official New China News Agency.

Police killed several attackers at the station in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, and established an extensive safety zone around the site of the attacks, according to messages posted on Sina Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter, the local television K6.

Motivation unknown assailants

However ambulances were dispatched to the scene to transport the injured to hospitals in the city, do we added the same source. Pictures posted on social networks showed a bloodstained and medical teams were busy leaning towards wounded lying on the ground floor. The authenticity of these pictures however, has not been verified.
