The singer of "Walk on the wild side" and "Perfect Day" "died this morning at 11 o'clock on Long Island," he told local media his agent Andrew Wylie, confirming the information given in the first instance by the magazine American Rolling Stone. "The cause was complications from his liver transplant," said he added.
A few hours before the announcement of his death, his official Twitter and Facebook accounts were published last post, entitled "The door": a photo of a poster representative, stuck on the entrance of a building.
