Four Swiss were killed Friday when the plane of tourism on which they were crashed near the town of Solemont south of Montbeliard, for reasons still unknown, it has been learned from the prefecture of Doubs.
The plane, which had four people on board crashed near the town around 18h and wreckage were found around 18:30, told Reuters Clavreuil Pierre, secretary general of the prefecture.
"When the accident occurred, there was heavy rain and visibility was limited," he said. "Research has been interrupted because of the night and will resume tomorrow morning," he added.
In a statement issued late Friday, the Minister of Economy and Finance and managing director of the city of Montbeliard, Pierre Moscovici, expressed his "emotion" and "deep sympathy" towards victims.
