Victims of bombings in Iraq began in Christmas 20 people


In the Iraqi capital Baghdad, two explosions, which have claimed at least 20 people, 25 were injured. Both explosions occurred after the Christmas services in places where Christians.

According to police, one of the bombs exploded near a church, when parishioners left it after the Christmas service. 14 people were killed there.

The second explosion occurred on the market, in an area populated mainly by Christians also. No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

According to local media, the Christian population of Iraq has dropped dramatically since 2003, when the U.S. invaded Iraq and was overstrung dictator Saddam Hussein. 

Prior to 2003, the number of Christians in the country was about 1-1.5 million, and now no more than 500 thousand people.
